HOA Information

Westlake Heights has a homeowners association (HOA). An HOA is an organization of homeowners in a planned community, development, or condominium complex. It enacts and enforces rules that attach to each property and is binding on all homeowners. It also develops and maintains communal property (property not owned by individual homeowners and that is not public property). An HOA is created by legal documents filed with the clerk of court where it is located. Membership is required for all owners of land within the established jurisdiction of the HOA.

Rights and responsibilities are created and governed by statute.

    • Establishes the HOA Board

    • Establishes the architectural review process

    • Provides the process for establishing and levying monthly dues 

    • Outlines basic rules governing permissible activities and alterations to private property within the HOA community

    • Establishes procedures governing the HOA Board’s operation and meetings

Board of Directors

The Westlake Heights HOA Board is comprised of three members, all of whom are fellow homeowners. They are elected to two-year terms (based on calendar years) by the membership, staggered so that no more than two seats are up for election each year. Elections are held at the annual meeting in October, with proxy ballots sent by mail beforehand. The HOA Board is completely a volunteer board, and they are charged with making all final decisions for the HOA. The HOA meets every other month on the first Wednesday at 7 pm via Zoom, and all residents are encouraged to attend. The meeting information is sent out via email through ACS West and is posted in our Facebook community group page.
